A/AS Level Courses
The General Certificate of Education is a traditional pre-University
course for students with a high level of English Language competence.
It is internationally recognised as a qualification for entry to
all British universities. These programmes provide in-depth preparation
for University entrance.
Key Facts:
- Taken over two academic years
- Some students may be accepted for five terms, or exceptionally
for three terms
- Start dates in January and September
- Each Advanced Level consists of six units
- Students have 25 hours each week of tuition and private study
- Personal counselling and advice on University application provided
Entry Requirements:
- Minimum age 16
- High level of English language competence (IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL
550)
- For students who have not reached this level, Bath Academy
offers Pre-sessional English for
academic purposes
- 5 GCSEs, grade C and above or good
secondary or high school education
