
Intensive English
Overview
This course is designed for students who wish to improve spoken and written English, whether beginners or more advanced students. Studying 25 lessons per week the students are immersed full time in the English language, but will free each day after mid-afternoon to enjoy the city of Bath with fellow students from all over the world, or to continue studying.

- Classes deal with grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. They provide practice in the four skills areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing
- In the morning classes teachers use a course book supplemented by additional material
- In the afternoon students follow a course based on a student's needs which may combine some of the following :
- Project work
- Integrated skills
- British culture and institutions
- News & current affairs
- Creative writing
- Business English
- Help is given if and when students decide to enter for an exam
- Regular progress tests are given
- Homework is set regularly
- Students are given regular feedback in individual tutorials on their own use of the language and guidance on how to improve
- Certificates of Attendance are issued
- Reports are issued at the end of the course suggesting ideas for future learning
- This course may be entered on any Monday of the year except over the Christmas period
