Preparation for RAF Training College
Overview
RAF Cranwell is one of the most prestigious military training
colleges in the UK. It is the Royal Air Force equivalent
of Sandhurst or the Britannia Royal Naval College, and is
considered by some to be the spiritual home of the RAF. Bath
Academy recently arranged a customised training programme
designed to raise the academic standards and language abilities
of a group of cadets attempting to enter RAF Cranwell.
Key Facts
- 15 hours per week of General
English classes in the
mornings to focus the cadets on grammar, vocabulary and
pronunciation, and give them practice in the four skill
areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- A dedicated group in the afternoons focusing
on academic skills as well as preparation
for the IELTS exam - a requirement for RAF Cranwell.
- Military language also included to help
prepare the cadets for military life.
