Pastoral care at Bath Academy is of the highest priority to ensure our students’ happiness and fulfilled ambitions. To effectively meet the personal, academic, and social wellbeing of students and staff is paramount to the framework of our college.
We want our students and staff to feel secure in the knowledge that they are valued members of a community that participates in giving and receiving encouragement, guidance and support.
Through our quality of teaching and learning and the nature of relationships amongst students, teachers and tutors, we aim to promote students personal and social development, fostering positive attitudes within a global community.
At Bath Academy, we believe that quality pastoral care focuses on the whole student (personal, social, and academic) by engaging all members of the school community as providers of pastoral care. We promote open lines of communication between staff, teachers, tutors and students to ensure every possibility of student concerns are covered.
To effectively manage this, we’ve appointed a Senior Tutor, Anna Manley, in charge of Pastoral Care. “My role as Senior Tutor (Pastoral) at Bath Academy is to develop the tutoring programme, as well as the broader pastoral responsibilities of the school, to ensure that each individual pupil feels they have the support, respect and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.”
