H, I’m Rachael. As a modern languages graduate, I love language learning and know well just how challenging and rewarding the experience can be. I’ve been teaching English since 2002, spending much of my time living abroad, in Turkey. After returning to the UK in 2013, I completed my Trinity Diploma in TESOL and since then, have been enjoying helping our Bath Academy students to develop their English and achieve their aims. I’m also pleased to have recently started managing our Junior Summer School programme.
I am a languages graduate with a Diploma qualification in EFL. I started my teaching career at a language school in Bournemouth before becoming an EFL lecturer in Southampton. I have since taught general, business and academic English to both young learners and adults in Bath and Bristol. Most recently my teaching has been focused on the IELTS and IGCSE exams. In my spare time I enjoy walking and going to the theatre.
I’m Carolyn. I’m an EFL teacher. As well as teaching at Bath Academy, I’ve also taught in Budapest, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic. When I’m not teaching, I run a small independent theatre company Rapscallion, which performs in Bath and the South West.
Hi! I’ve been teaching English for five years, both in the UK and Spain. I live just outside Bath (my favourite city in the world) with my wife, Wendy and my little dog, Peggy.
I love teaching English and my lessons are informal and fun. My pet hates include lateness and people not doing what they say they are going to do. My pet loves are enthusiastic students and warm sunshine (very rare in England).
I originally joined Bath Academy as an ELT teacher and gradually took on a marketing role as the academy evolved, helping rebrand the school with a new logo and new website. Originally from Canada, I moved to the UK in 1997 and recently returned after living abroad in Paris and Florida. The challenge of living and working in different countries as well as learning a new language inspired me to teach others, so I completed my CELTA at City of Bristol College and am pleased to be using my skills both as a content marketer and teacher at the academy. I also have a Diploma in Journalism, am a freelance writer/photographer and regular contributor to Project Calm Magazine.
