Abbi Pullen

Abbi Pullen

Abbi has worked in Boarding education for over twenty years and supported international and home students and their families, guardians and agents throughout that time with all aspects of school life, pastorally as well as with academics, accommodation, logistics and admissions.

She has also lived and taught English abroad in India, Spain and Japan.

She loves working with young people from all cultures and backgrounds and being part of their educational journey.

Abbi had this to say – ‘I am delighted to have joined the Bath Academy team and am excited to work with agents and students in this fabulous setting. There is such a breadth of opportunities for students here with an array of programmes and experiences to consider. I’m really looking forward to building great relationships and working across all our offerings.’

Rachel Read

Rachel Read

Hi, I’m Rachel and I am part of Bath Academy’s small and friendly Admissions Team. We are always happy to answer questions about the courses we offer and life at Bath Academy.

I meet prospective students and their parents and show them round our lovely college. One of the best parts of my job is finding out about people from all different countries and cultures.

I lived overseas for many years, in Dubai and Cape Town, and am very happy now to be in one of the most beautiful, historic cities in England. It is a joy to work in such pleasant surroundings with such lovely people.

Hi my name is Barni and I’m part of the Admissions team here at Bath Academy.

I’ve been in Bath for many years now all starting with my Business Management degree at Bath Spa and have lived here ever since.

I grew up in Hungary and I have also lived and worked in Japan where I spent most of my time snowboarding.

I believe that Bath Academy is an amazing place for students to come and learn and also a fantastic place to work.

Violet Dahl

Hello, my name is Violet and I am one of the people behind the scenes translating Bath Academy’s vision into word and image through Marketing and Communications. I am responsible for internal and external communications to current (and prospective) parents and students.

I spent formative years studying in Finland and America so I understand the international students’ initial struggle after being one myself.

My background is in the arts – I am a paid and published poet and illustrator, and with my last role being the sole marketer of FilmBath Festival I feel I am well positioned to add a creative flair in raising Bath Academy’s profile, both locally and internationally.

I think learning and the gaining of knowledge are some of the most noble pursuits in life so I am delighted to be working at Bath Academy, a wonderful institute where my morals align.

In my spare time I enjoy; being in nature, wild swimming, travel, reading, film, knitting, and putting the world to rights with my friends.

Martin Lees

Martin Lees

Martin is the Facilities Manager – a very important member of the administrative team who keeps all Bath Academy premises smoothly ticking over.

Chapel Row and its garden are carefully tended to by him, alongside Number 27 which is a Grade 1 listed building, and the Boarding House, which is a Grade 2 listed building – all premises benefit from Martin’s dedicated and experienced eye.

He has been with Bath Academy since 2005. Here’s what he has to say about our college –

‘I enjoy being in different places doing different jobs all the time, keeping the students and staff safe, and as comfortable as possible in their learning environment. There’s never a dull moment.’
