Revision & Supplementary Tuition

Revision Courses at Bath Academy are designed to improve student confidence and encourage them to achieve their potential in their academic exams. We aim to deepen understanding, support areas of weakness and provide opportunities to develop strengths.

Daily revision sessions are split between three hours of formal teaching, focusing on areas that students find challenging and a one hour daily assessments to improve exam technique and application of knowledge. Students receive detailed feedback on these assessments.

All tutors at Bath Academy are teachers with experience in teaching to the rigors of public examinations. Many have worked as examiners or assessors for the major examination boards

Types of Tuition

At Bath Academy we are aware that no two students may want the same type of tuition, therefore we offer different options:

Small Group Tuition:

Our group courses are run by a tutor experienced in the subject. Working in small groups of students (maximum of 6 students), tutors are able to give all students individual attention and feedback. These group sessions cover all the topics assessed by the major specifications.

One to One Tuition:

One to one tuition is useful for students who wish to focus on particular topics or areas across the AS/A2 specification with a supportive and knowledgeable tutor.

Revision Courses run either as morning (9am-1pm) or afternoon (2pm- 6pm) sessions. We can also offer bespoke individual and small group tuition (for specific groups of students), please contact us for further information.

Revision Courses 2026/2027:

Intensive revision courses tailored for students’ individual needs. These can be focused on specific topics or any areas where there are gaps in knowledge. A core focus is on exam technique and preparation for assessments.

For all Easter week-long courses, a 1 hour session about revision, tackling exams and dealing with exam anxiety is included free of charge.

Course Cost

Course costs are £864 for a 5 half-day group course (20 hours of tuition/assessment – minimum 2 students).

One to One tuition costs £342 per half day (4 hours of tuition/assessment).

Discount is available for multiple bookings.

Booking Procedure

Once you have submitted the online course application form and deposit, the Director of Revision will contact you with confirmation of the booking. Our timetables are finalised 14 days prior to course start dates.

Terms and Conditions: Revision Courses at Bath Academy are intended to facilitate a safe and supportive environment for study. As such, the following conditions apply to all students during revision courses.All registrations must be complete prior to course start date. Full payment is required prior to course start date, and confirms your place on the course. Refunds will only be given in the case of the course being cancelled by Bath Academy. Fees are non-refundable in all other cases once paid. Bath Academy shall not be liable for loss or damage to personal property or injury to persons however caused, other than where negligence on the part of Bath Academy is proven. Bath Academy is a no-smoking building. No drugs or alcoholic beverages shall be brought into or consumed within the Academy during the Course. Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate withdrawal from course(s) by the student. Bath Academy reserves the right to request the withdrawal of a student from the course due to any behaviour that is detrimental to the smooth running of the course. Any refund of fees is at the discretion of the Course Manager. Parents or guardians will accept full liability for any damage to property caused by malice or neglect whilst the student is enrolled at Bath Academy.

Payment Details: Revision courses prices will be quoted in an email. In the event of the requested course(s) being full when the application is received or cancelled on our behalf, a full refund will be made if no alternative courses can be arranged. If you prefer you can pay by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. Cash payments must be handled in the main office but you can post a cheque to the address at the top of the page (please write the name of the student on the reverse of the cheque.
