Revision and Supplementary Tuition
Revision Courses at Bath Academy are designed to improve student confidence and encourage them to achieve their potential in their academic exams. We aim to deepen understanding, support areas of weakness and provide opportunities to develop strengths. Daily revision sessions are split between formal teaching, focusing on areas that students find challenging and daily assessments to improve exam technique and application of knowledge. Students receive detailed feedback on these assessments.
All tutors at Bath Academy are teachers with experience in teaching to the rigors of public examinations. Many have worked as examiners or assessors for the major examination boards
Types of Tuition
At Bath Academy we are aware that no two students may want the same type of tuition. As such, we offer different types of session on our Revision Courses:
Small Group Tuition:
Our group courses are run by a tutor experienced in the subject. Working in small groups of students (maximum of 6 students), tutors are able to give all students individual attention and feedback. These group sessions cover all the topics assessed by the major specifications. These revision courses provide students with three hours of tuition (including refreshment breaks) and one hour of assessment (under exam conditions). Students receive full feedback on these assessments, along with points for improvement.
One to One Tuition:
One to one tuition is useful for students who wish to focus on particular topics or areas across the AS/A2 specification with a supportive and knowledgeable tutor. These sessions are structured in a similar fashion to the group courses, but can be adapted dependent on individual student needs.
Revision Courses run either as morning (9am-1pm) or afternoon (2pm- 6pm) sessions. We can also offer bespoke individual and small group tuition (for specific groups of students), please contact us for further information.

“There is no magic formula to passing your exams; it is your motivation and your desire that will ultimately decide your grade. At Bath Academy we offer the support, advice and help to enjoy both learning and your time with us“ Aaron A Berry, Director of Revision Courses, BSc, MSc, PGCE
We also tutor students from other schools and colleges on a one to one basis. Our additional support ensures that students receive the individual attention necessary to fulfil their academic potential either in school entrance examinations, GCSEs, A Levels or simply to increase their confidence at school. Extra coaching is usually undertaken on a one-to-one basis, meaning the pupil has the undivided attention of a subject specialist. Supplementary tuition takes place on the college premises and can be arranged – subject to tutor availability – in the late afternoon during school term times.
