We catch up with Head of Admissions, Sam Hollingshead, ahead of a very busy period, to talk about how Bath Academy help students achieve higher grades, plans for September 2021, and what a typical admissions period looks like.
“It can be a confusing and stressful time, especially this year, and we are here to reassure students and parents by giving specialist advice in navigating their next steps..”
What does the typical ‘enrolment’ period look like at Bath Academy?
This year, given the difficulties students have endured, there are many with worries about centre assessed grades or the impact on progress made during their studies. We welcome students/parents to contact the college to discuss possible solutions at Bath Academy with myself or the Principal. As we do not have set times of the year set aside for prospective students to visit, our approach is ‘every day is an open day’ at the college.
How does Bath Academy help students who want […]
With students back at school, many are still feeling lost and frustrated following remote learning. The question still remains; how will remote learning impact students’ futures and how can students ensure they develop the necessary academic skills and depth of subject knowledge to reach their goals?
See the article in InBath to see what our Principal has to say about monitoring academic achievement, the importance of personal development, and how Bath Academy can assist students in a personalised learning environment.
If you would like any educational guidance or advice, students and parents are encouraged to ‘drop-in’ for a discussion with one of our advisors – due to COVID-19 safety measures, please initially contact email@example.com, or call 01225 334 577 for a chat or to set up an appointment.
With the disruption to education and unpredictability of exams this year, students and parents are faced with even more uncertainty; how important will mocks and assessments be?; can I re-sit the Autumn Exams if I’m not happy with my results in December?
See the article in InBath to see what our Principal has to say and how Bath Academy can help guide students in uncertain times.

WHAT TO DO IF…
Bath Academy plans to light up Queen Square this winter and add some sparkly festive cheer with a very large and beautiful Christmas tree in our front courtyard. More than just a decorative tree, it will be a ‘Remembrance Tree’ managed by our very own Student Elves who will be looking for help to decorate it in a special way for a special cause.
As we head into the Christmas period, it is more important than ever to remember our loved ones, to celebrate their life or acknowledge those going through difficult times. Similar to Dorothy House’s ‘Light up a Life’ campaign where a candle on a tree is lit for a loved one at Christmas time, Bath Academy’s project – ‘Dress Dorothy’s Tree’ – will have the same sentiment but using symbolic baubles instead of candles to decorate the tree.
Taking place during Bath’s busy Christmas market, we are hoping to attract market-goers to our Christmas display where they can purchase a Bath […]

What our students say is the best testimony to what we do at Bath Academy. They have first-hand experience of everything from course work, quality of teaching, college environment, student life, what studying in Bath is like, and so much more.
One of the best things about Bath Academy is the diverse group of students we have, from Bath, all over the UK, and internationally. Small though we are, we cover a huge spectrum of students needs and learning styles. Our personal approach provides a community atmosphere, and is what makes us different, and better for many reasons. Read on to find out why:
